It's an extension of the notion that the rape was your fault anyway, why can't you take 'personal responsibility' for that resulting pregnancy?

Preferably from one of the places that won't administer emergemcy contraception when you're treated for that rape.

Stuff like this only makes sense in an alternative world. Anyone who has been in real contact with the world of conservatism will know of professional self-described "conservative" women who frequent Planned Parenthood clinics and the massive scale of obviously gay men who oddly shout to the hills about homosexuality. Abortion is a rallying cry for evangelical voters, hence its strength since the rise of the Moral Majority and its inclusion in the Republican Party.

A debate honestly should be made about what families look like in America, but that needs to be done in the interpersonal level. There is alot of confusion due to large scale social change and the approach of sex education and making condoms available doesn't really address real in depth issues. That social change may actually play a substantial role in why the abortion debate is as it is, as abortion (alongside large scale infant mortality) is not historically insignificant.

What I just saw was mind-bendingly stupid. Once the moment of conception is reached women are baby vessels, the zygote has equal rights if not more rights than the fully human woman.

Yet when it comes to the mere hint of any 'rights' or even consideration for animals, GOD ALMIGHTY YOUR MORONIC LIBERULZ!

There's also the 'individual' rights above the state issues.... when morph into something else at that moment of conception.

Really assholish thing to say to a woman who first was raped and then found out that they were carrying their rapist's child. If you decide to have that child, no problem but I wouldn't blame any woman who chooses to get an abortion in that situation. Most reasonable people agree on that but alas Glenn isn't reasonable.
